The appointment system at Churchill is ridiculous, you cannot book in advance unless you are receiving test results and if you are able to get through to reception before 8.30am you are highly unlikely to get an appointment at all. Which makes things extremely difficult for those who work full time or have children. I have been registered at this doctors since birth, and since I can remember they have NEVER run on time. I struggle to believe that so many surgery's across the country are able to meet such a basic requirement, yet for Kingston Churchill medical centre, it is such a difficulty to actually see your doctor for when you booked your appointment. If someone has left work for the appointment and has to go back, or booked a child minder just so they can see a doctor this is extremely inconvenient and unprofessional. I would NOT recommend Churchill to anyone in the area.

Can normally get an appointment on the same day if you phone in at 0800 and keep pressing redial. All the Doctors, Nurses and staff are very friendly and helpful although they do need more Doctors at this surgery to give more appointment availability. After 0830 you can not get an appointment on the same day and they will not let you pre book for the next day.

My wife and I have had excellent care from this surgery since it was a single practitioner, Dr Wirgman, succeeded by Dr Churchill. As the Churchill Medical Center our registered doctor is Dr Smith who has proved time and again a) to be on the ball and b) to be very clear in his explanations of diagnosis and treatment. The care from the other doctors and nurses is exemplary. E.G. Some weeks ago, one Sunday, I had evidence of internal bleeding. I obtained a 9am appointment on the Monday with Dr Chatterjee. By 10am I was in A and E at Kingston for a burst ulcer. Treatment there was also exemplary.
